Dennis joined Norman Hecht Research in November, 1991. His primary responsibility is to direct and coordinate the news research activities for Norman Hecht Research’s television clients. His special area of expertise is in news, talent and programming research as well as ratings analysis.
Before joining Norman Hecht Research, Dennis was Director, Program Planning Research at HBO. His research played a key role in shaping the HBO's original movies and stand-up comedy strategies. Dennis’ team was also pivotal in the development of the successful series Not Necessarily The News, 1st & Ten, Tales from the Crypt and Dream On. He also introduced and institutionalized the use of network television promotion testing techniques.
Prior to that, Dennis was Assistant Research Director, CBS Television Stations. He had overall responsibility for the station group's programming research and helped develop a news talent tracking study, and upgraded the department's sales research support. Prior to CBS, Dennis’ research experience also includes working for an advertising agency, a TV sales rep, and the ABC Television Network. Dennis has a Master's of Business Administration degree from Adelphi University. |
